Label 5 launches Bourbon Barrel – its first Single Grain Whisky - into UK market

Label 5 blended Scotch whisky has introduced its first Single Grain whisky, Bourbon Barrel, to the UK market.

Label 5 is one of the world’s top ten best-selling Scotch whiskies. Distilled, matured and bottled in the company’s distilleries in Scotland, this award-winning blended Scotch is a perfect marriage of malt and grain whiskies. Label 5 is enjoyed in more than 100 countries and is renowned for its high quality and smooth taste.

Distilled and matured at the brand’s grain distillery in Central Scotland and aged for over three years in first fill ex-Bourbon casks, the launch heralds an exciting new chapter for Label 5, which is one of the world’s top ten best-selling Scotch whiskies.

Bottled in 70cl at 40% ABV, Label 5 Bourbon Barrel, retails at £20 and is available in 191 Asda stores nationwide.

Smooth and well-balanced, in keeping with Label 5’s house style, delicious flavours of vanilla and oak provide the backbone to Bourbon Barrel’s subtle fruity character.

Tasting notes

Colour: chestnut brown with glints of gold

The whisky is delicious served on the rocks or as part of a cocktail, including the iconic Old Fashioned or a simple whisky and cola.

Using time honoured traditions, the spirit is crafted in Scotland’s only fully integrated site to feature a grain distillery, warehouses, bottling facilities and a state-of the art approach to sustainability.

To mark the UK launch, Label 5 is returning as the official whisky of Yardworks – the internationally renowned festival of urban street art, taking place on 4th and 5th May at SWG3 in Glasgow.
