REVIEW OF EVE AT VIRGIN HOTEL EDINBURGH - AN UNFORGETTABLE BRUNCH EXPERIENCE

Step into a realm of culinary delight at Eve, where the art of brunch is taken to an entirely new level.

Nestled within the elegant confines of the hotel, Eve Restaurant offers a brunch experience that will awaken your senses and leave you craving for more.

There are two entrances. One, through the hotel taking the elevator to the ground floor or from the Cowgate. Either way you are met with the perfect atmosphere in which to unwind and enjoy a feast of flavours.

The decor at Eve is nothing short of awe-inspiring. As soon as you step foot into the restaurant, you are greeted with a breathtaking display of contemporary design mixed with hints of traditional Scottish charm. The spacious and stylish dining area features a blend of rich textures and warm earthy tones, creating a cozy yet sophisticated ambiance. The walls are adorned with stunning artworks that showcase the local talent, and the thoughtfully curated lighting adds a touch of intimacy to the overall atmosphere. The attention to detail is evident in every corner, with carefully chosen furniture and elegant accents that exude luxury. Whether you're dining at the sleek bar area or at a comfortable booth, the decor at Eve adds a distinctive touch to your culinary experience, making it truly unforgettable.

The menu is a masterpiece, fusing traditional brunch classics with innovative and creative twists. Indulge in delectable dishes like avocado toast topped with poached eggs and a harissa hollandaise sauce, or their bao buns with plant based chicken and shitake, blackberry sriracha and vegan mayo.

Eve also has their own Brunch cocktails. We went for the Mimosa and a French Martini mocktail.

The Brunch Board - £18.50

The brunch board is a delightful feast that will satisfy all your cravings. This culinary masterpiece is a sight to behold, featuring an array of delectable treats artfully arranged on a rustic wooden board. From freshly made waffles, french toast and morning cake all bursting with buttery goodness to fluffy pancakes with luscious butterscotch sauce, berry compote and chantilly cream, every bite is a taste of pure bliss.

Eve’s Brunch Burger - £12.50

This towering creation begins with a perfectly cooked pork sausage patty and topped with streaky bacon and a free range egg. But the real star of the show is the addition of the tomato relish that really brings this brunch burger to life on your first bite. Unfortunately my egg was overcooked so no Instagram worth runny yolk lushishness!

Posh Ham and Cheese Croque Madame - £12.50

The Croque Madame, is definitely a must order item. This classic French delight is an artful combination of crusty bread, luscious serrano ham, brie, truffle sauce and fried egg, creating a symphony of flavours that dance on your palate. I just wish it came with two fried eggs as that’s what makes it a Croque ‘Madame’!

The attentive staff ensures that every detail is taken care of, making your brunch experience truly unforgettable. Whether you're looking for a mimosa brunch with friends or a leisurely family gathering, Eve Restaurant offers this.

With a prime location just steps away from the famous Royal Mile and a plethora of cultural attractions, Eve at the Virgin Hotel Edinburgh is the perfect choice for locals and travellers seeking a lavish and memorable experience in Scotland's enchanting capital.
