PRODUCT : Review of The Instagram Foodie Bag from Paperbagco

There were days when I went ‘ooo’ and ‘ah’ about a designer bag. In my twenties I dreamt of one day owning a Louis Vuitton to carry around my mobile phone and my lipstick; and as I grew older the designer bag wish remained but the size grew bigger. I went from wanting a shoulder bag to a tote bag just so that I could fit all my stuff in!

But older still, the designer bag wish has faded as I just can’t seem to justify spending over £2000 on a tote bag.

REVIEW OF THE INSTAGRAM FOODIE BAG FROM PAPERBAGCO

My bag priorities have changed but on receiving the Instagram Foodie Bag from the Paperbagco, my wee heart did skip a beat and that ‘ooo’ and ‘ah’ returned, not only because of what you get with it but because of the sheer size and everything you can fit in it!

So what do you get besides a very very large super handy canvas bag:

  • 5 in 1 pop-up reflectors : 15-inch photographic reflectors and diffusers to help brighten and enhance both highlights and shadows.

  • A set of four beautifully crafted papers from Black Velvet Styling. They come in a white marble, a kind of warm concrete beige, a green textured colour and a rusty metal graphic.

  • A set of eight beautiful postcards with tips on how to take photographs using your mobile phone, each explaining how to use light, think about composition, choose your background, use your diffusers and reflectors etc.

If you are a foodie photographer, whether you are using your mobile phone or DSLR camera, and have to cart about all your photography equipment including sticks, stands, ring lights, backdrops and laptops; everything will fit inside this large bag which also comes with a mesh divider and side pocket.

Although I mostly work at home, the contents of the bag have come in so handy and improved my photographs. I use the bag to keep everything in one place instead of scattered about my at home studio and on the few occasions I’ve done a client visit, I now have an easy to carry bag where I can find everything I need for the photoshoot quickly and with ease.

I love this bag! I really do. It might not be designer and it only costs £39.95 but it ticks all the boxes I need in a bag in my forties (and it still have space for my mobile phone and my lipstick!)

This bag is a must for any aspiring Instagram Foodie or food photographer. It’s a brilliant start up kit with all the equipment you require to be able to play around with light and backdrops.
