The Chester Residence - Luxury accommodation in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End
We chose a wee staycation in our hometown of Edinburgh. Some my ask why, but why not? We treated ourselves to a few days of sheer decadence and luxury where we could escape from the day to day and become a tourist in our own back yard.
The Chester Residence is listed Georgian townhouses in Edinburgh’s New Town or West End. It’s 5 star luxury all the way with one and two bedroom apartments on both Rothesay Place and Chester Street.
Think space. Space is at the essence of these townhouses. Believe me there is plenty of it!
THE OWNERS RESIDENCE
We booked The Owners Residence and my what a gorgeous apartment.
This is a VIP one bedroom apartment with jacuzzi, bespoke Louis Vuitton and Armani Casa furnishings and private cinema room. Throw in two 50” LCD televisions, an achingly chic bedroom and two uber luxurious bathrooms covering an amazing 860 sq. ft. Wow!
The kitchen is fully equipped and although surrounded by some great restaurants less than a couple of minutes walk away, it was also lovely to lock ourselves away, cook some amazing food and drink some fabulous champagne. I can also confirm that a lot of popcorn was made in this kitchen - no use having a cinema room without the nibbles!
Dining area is situated between the lounge and the cinema room.
One of our favourite rooms, the cinema room. The leather armchairs offer utter comfort with footstools to match. The large screen TV is ideal for watching movies, either DVD, download, Netflix etc.
Above all, we loved the jacuzzi bath. Perfect for two! Mr TartanSpoon at one end with an eye on the footie and me at the other with the bottle of Bolly in hand. Happy couple!
Our stay was perfect. From the staff delivering our suitcases to our suite on check in, to the faultless decor and absolute secluded stillness. Thank you for the peace and quiet we craved so much!
The Residence is stylish and stunning. It’s cosy yet spacious, comfortable yet contemporary and a perfect retreat.
