Chef Nico Simeone Expands To England With His Culinary Concept Restaurant in Further Growth Drive 

Five new Scottish food and drink producers have been announced in the run-up to the fifth Edinburgh Food Festival taking place in Assembly George Square Gardens from 19th to 28th July 2019.

I love love love the Rose Theatre Cafe. It has everything you would want for a leisurely breakie or brunch; but also has some incredible food that’ll feed any hungry soul.

Believe it or not, I finished the lot. I did get half way through and declared that I was so full, but this is so scrumptious that you just keep eating.

Umi has definitely made it to the top of my list of eateries you have to visit whilst in Edinburgh.

I like The Barony for its ambience, it’s charm, friendliness and warm welcome. It feels like an old friend that you known for years when you walk in and that’s a very special ‘vibe’ to hold onto.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Steak Night. The cafe is beautiful, it was busy and bustling and very friendly and helpful staff. Superb venue to share steaks and wine with great friends and family. The next Steak Night is Friday 31st May and the last Friday of every month thereafter.

Chef has most certainly worked hard here to create and produce some wonderful seasonal dishes that were hard to fault. Ideal plates of food that would put a smile on anyone’s face and lift your spirits. We loved it and highly recommend One Square.

Heads and Tales Gin Bar is still one of the best hidden gems in Edinburgh although located in plain sight, nestled between The Huxley and Ghillie Dhu. They now have an Asian inspired menu and some very tasty gin cocktails

DOC Edinburgh is located in quite a tricky location, on the Drumbrae roundabout with a Chinese restaurant and a McD’s as their direct competition; however if they continue to serve food this good they will sail through the Summer with a full book of reservations.

Edinburgh Cocktail Week returns this autumn, Monday 14th – Sunday 20th October, with another fun-filled week of cocktail festivities across the capital including a new Cocktail Forest, Rooftop Cocktail Domes at The Glasshouse Hotel, an expanded Cocktail Village at Festival Square and 70 of Edinburgh’s finest cocktail bars.
